my dad is a HUGE Natalie Wood fan. (i think because she looked like my mom).
Veranda magazine's October 2011 edition features their first ever concept house in Los Angeles. Headed by Windsor Smith and 9 other too-fabulous designers - they rolled out an exquisite home. boy am i jealous!
some highlights...
i stopped in my tracks when i saw this kitchen and so so love the chairs around the table. i also love the mixture of brass and silver finishes
so this is where that awesome green desk came from! (i had posted it earlier)
this elegant foyer beckons me to walk barefoot on these cold beautiful tiles
such a pretty bathroom. if this were mine i would promise to never get make-up on the mirror
the mix of style in here is so sophisticated! and of course i love those navy silk ball-gowny window treatments
and i'm loving the PINK on these walls
but this next one takes the cake. that tub?! i love real furniture in the bathroom. my master bath (when done) will definitely get an antique something or other
this lovely home is also an equestrian property- complete with studio/barn/horse
such inspiration here!
2.5 hours up and 2.5 hours down. (had to break on the way down a few times for a couple of tantrums- both of us.) BUT-we made it!
unless i lose a bet- this will not be attempted again for a while...
the artists
and a very creepy guest!!! check out my ankle (to your right) - a daddy long leg! i had no idea it had crawled on me until i saw this pic.
how authentic! (almost as good as a bat in the background)
