a little slice of heaven
September 25, 2011 i went to my itty bitty cottage in kennebunkport, maine this weekend. it is seriously the cutest little place ever. Small Room Decorating (aka Country Almanac) magazine recently featured it in a winter 2011 issue. i was delighted.
me before heading to dinner on saturday. i went to Arrows! (more on that extravaganza later).

i swear i didn't use the word "urbanite"
the custom built in bench doubles as a guest bed and is about 15 feet long
of course i plugged Holiday- and here i am talking about nostalgic vintage postcards again
the stacked wood is an "optical illusion"- it's a door to storage
the kitchen is compact but completely functional
the bed is custom built on a platform and the mirror helps with light and space
the exterior (especially at night) is dreamy. and below is an accurate quote
