speaking of the GALA...

i was cruising home on 5th an hour ago and saw Vogue's Andre Leon Talley leaving the MET- most likely checking up on the arrangements for the upcoming gala.  he looked smart (not his usual crazy self) in a tailored black suit.  he practically stopped traffic as he waved to his driver and got wooshed away.  he is a BIG man.   

 

they are sanding and sprucing the railings of the steps of as we speak.

should i just camp out until the event?
