...when i saw this room. there is just something about everything (and the way it is together) that attracts me.
MONDAY... i'm still thinking about the weekend. i spent mine doing some favorite things... like buying climbing rose bushes, entertaining a weekend guest from the city, eating sweet corn on the cob and ice cream cones, kayaking down the concord river with my toes in the water, birthday candles and presents for my niece and jumping in the pool with all my clothes on (one niece on each side- on the count of 3). such simple summer delights.
Holiday has a fabulous saturday staff. a welcome addition to the team is is our adorbs "saturday" scott. he's the cutie in the bow tie! i've asked him to sum up one of his style/girl crushes for today's post...
Here He Goes....
"As many of my friends already know, I am mildly obsessed with artist and Bat for Lashes frontwoman Natasha Khan.
From the first time I laid eyes on this half Pakistani/English gem and heard her hauntingly addictive songs, I've been a cult follower. There's just something about a strong woman who dances to the beat of her own drum and doesn't care if anyone is watching that impresses me. Not only is she a phenomenal artist, songwriter, musician and singer- this lady has some intensely individual & fierce style.
She can rock a feathered headdress and Ziggy Stardust/David Bowie-esque makeup like no one's biz. Both Natasha and Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine are up there as my "lady Gagas". Beauty+talent+style+making an impact on today's music and fashion trends= my girl crush.
If you haven't heard her music yet- check her out. it's a listen must!
