i find moodboard-ing with tangible objects that are around me always helps me to focus creatively (and will often hint at what i am dreaming of). it also assists in sparking new ideas, a color story for fabric or a new dress for example, and general life wishes. like this one says (9 times) that i need to go to Paris again soon. ;) you should try it!
...i hope to stumble upon an old & pretty book
or a box full of tiny pink dancers ;)
enjoy!
just a quick hello to share perhaps the cutest letterpress pink pagoda note cards that i just impulsively purchased from etsy. they made me think of you! as you know i've also been on the hunt for some good old fashioned paper for some good old fashioned letter writing. well, that's all for now. hi to your mom & uncle breton!
love, jess
oh! p.s.- here is the LINK!
i've had that icky virus for the past few days and am finally on the mend. one very good thing that came from spending hours horizontal in a big, boring bed with my iPad is that i had the time to search for and FINALLY SCORE a copy of Slim Aarons' "A Wonderful Time: An Intimate Portrait of the Good Life" that wasn't a million dollars. (i hope it still has the pages inside). this victory also led me to order his "Once Upon a Time" and "A Place in the Sun". a mini collection has started and they will be great in the shop amidst all the AMAZING fresh & sunny merchandise that is coming soon for Spring! the only problem is now i am yearning for some pool side time of my own. (going to see if i can make this happen soon). until then, Aarons' chic photography of the o-so-privileged life will have to suffice...
below one of my favorite photos of Boston born Lucy Douglas Cochrane a.k.a. Sissy a.k.a CZ Guest ;)
