i have such an appreciation for those blessed with the paintbrush-rendering gene.  (i missed out on that one, too).  lately i've been dreamily gazing at the c-h-a-r-m-i-n-g work of Janet Hill.  not only do i love her subject(s)- i LOVE that she makes copies of her originals available for purchase at a very accessible price.  what a wonderful thing to find under the tree!  (HINT HINT!)

(thankful) notes from the weekend

i am back in NYC, but am grateful to have had such a goooood long weekend.  familiar things like my favorite chair in my parents' dining room (and that wallpaper that's been up forever), my grandmother's humble china & mom's golden flatware- to a fun night spent with friends in Boston (we crashed at the old school Park Plaza with their old school chandeliers) and of course time spent at Holiday- were just what the doctor ordered.  hope yours was memorable and happy, too.

BOSTON bound!

i'm so happy to be travelling to BOSTON today for a nice long visit!  i'll be working (wait until you see more of our Pretty Little Sister capsule collection that will be unveiled in the next few days), playing (miss all my pals on the HILL) and most definitely prepping for a giant Thanksgiving with my family.
