dreaming of...
...this (out of my budget) Blumarine dress i found while perusing lindelepalais.com. i love everything about it especially the paillettes embroidery in ivory & soft pink.
sigh.

my HAPPY (ebay score) vintage lamp (intended for the shop but now living on my desk at home) is making this dreary work day a bit brighter.
i have been hoping to see a sugar coated landscape this december (if only for a day or two)- but MONDAY is going to be darn near 65 degrees in these here parts! trying to get ready for the holidays is strangely difficult when you are in a t-shirt and have the windows open. call me crazy, but i'm ready for some winter white.
last year i spent Christmas in England and learned a thing or two about their favorite party favor- the cracker. the decorative cardboard cylinder, filled with little gifts like paper crowns and miniature games, are "cracked & popped" by pulling both ends resulting in the tiny prizes spilling out. it's the most charming, little tradition (especially because everyone HAS to wear their paper crown while eating dinner).
this year the olde english cracker has gone completely glam thanks to the cosmetic company Jouer. not only is the pale pink packaging beyond perfect- the treats inside are adorable, too. think mini champagne bottles, costume jewels, gold & silver CONFETTI, make-up samples & sweet fortunes. i CAN NOT WAIT wait to get my sparkle and pop on.
too cute!
