every once in a while i need to calm down and tell myself everything is ok.  especially during times of change.  today i read this and it made me feel better.

Holiday's beloved English Kate is moving on to grander pastures.  She's off to the Bloomingdale's Chanel ready-to-wear boutique and her last day in the shop is this Sunday.  Kate- or Kitty as we call her- has been with Holiday for over 7 years!  Incredible.  She has been guardian of the cashmere (when i had the L.A. boutique, she called me frantic because she had discovered there was a moth in the store) and a consistent professional.  She's endured all the ups and downs of a small retail operation right along side me.  I am grateful for her stellar work ethic and her friendship.  I'm having a send off bash for her this Sunday night at mine and I'm sure we will all have a hysterical walk down memory lane... and a few tears, too.  So Kitty- I'm not saying goodbye, farewell!  I'm saying thank you and I know you will rock in this next chapter of your professional and fashionable life.  How exciting!
