i'm ready. officially.

i came across this gorgeous photo of a snowy & romantic Montmartre- that ridiculously charming hill in the north of Paris- (where i had my silhouette CUT on the street!) that at first glance reminded me of beautiful Beacon Hill!  it's making me ready to see some WHITE & do some strolling of my own.

this illustration by Caitlin McGauley is my latest obsession.  i'm buying it.  you can, too!  the best part is that she is donating the proceeds for victims of hurricane sandy.  a very stylish win/win.

oil admiration

i have such an appreciation for those blessed with the paintbrush-rendering gene.  (i missed out on that one, too).  lately i've been dreamily gazing at the c-h-a-r-m-i-n-g work of Janet Hill.  not only do i love her subject(s)- i LOVE that she makes copies of her originals available for purchase at a very accessible price.  what a wonderful thing to find under the tree!  (HINT HINT!)

LONNY love

if you don't already read (devour) LONNY every month- you must!  the online magazine, created in 2009 by Michelle Adams (NY) and Patrick Cline (London) has filled my Domino void & more.  i am so very grateful.  they pack tons of attainable STYLE in every issue- and the photography & content- decor, entertaining, fashion, etc. is always drool worthy.  so i was BEYOND excited that i got to meet and hang out with Michelle, Lonny Editor-in Chief (and former Domino darling), and Patrick, Lead Photographer, at the always inspiring NYC apartment of Eddie Ross.  (just WAIT until you see the DECEMBER issue!!!)

not only are these folks super sweet & FUN (they like champagne) their eye for tasteful & creative design rises them to rock star status in my eyes.  seriously.

Lauren Moffatt: deserving covergirl

i was so happy to see Holiday's favorite gal/designer, Lauren Moffatt, gracing the cover of the always fabulous Matchbook Magazine's November issue (it seriously is a "field guide to a charmed life").  if you haven't devoured all the online goodies yet- now is the time.  you'll see her uber-cool, working studio that i've had the pleasure of visiting and learn more of why we love Lauren so much (like i need to tell you again).  plus "the expectant mom dishes on style, inspiration, and the perfect winter coat".
