NEW IN!!!

Lauren Moffatt's second Fall delivery just DROPPED!  it's, AGAIN, sooooo good!  have a look at what we just got in TODAY!

i have to start with my FAVORITE 60's shift in wool & lace.  gold buttons go up the back.  LOVE this piece.  flats, boots, tights (red tights?) whatever- it's a chic little number for fall & winter, too.

also available is this TOP version. ca-uuuute!

THE signature Moffatt piece.  she does it every season in different fabrics.  can't. EVER. go. wrong.

looks equally awesome TUCKED

and yes.  there are more colors!

and thank goodness for Lauren because she does THESE DAY DRESSES that i truly live in.  like you get sooo sick of me in them.  here is an example of what everyone around me will see every other day...

and finally i saved a REALLY special (heirloom worthy) one for last.  in person it's exquisite and ange's ultimate.  i can see this day or night.  i'm such a fan of cream in fall and winter.  especially at NIGHT!

AND- we received more of the "LONELY HEARTS TOP"!  they FLEW!  i actually don't own this yet.  YET.  but i get to see it everyday in NYC because the Jack Rogers Flagship Store on Madison has it in their window right now.  yes.  there is a Jack Rogers "lifestyle" boutique on Madison- and they sell some pretty cute apparel.

but so does HOLIDAY.  plus, you can get your Jack Rogers fix at Moxie next door!  so shop CHARLES STREET before EVERYONE is back in the hood!

i want to wear this apartment

i just stumbled across this ridiculously pretty living room online and then learned that it is just ONE of many totally "dressed up" spaces inside the Kansas City apartment of interior designer Kelee Katillac.  the attention to detail is staggering and her window treatments are fit for a queen.  i can barely handle it.

the color scheme here is unexpected to me- and again the SILK CURTAINS are crazy beautiful.

i mean, c'mon!

and have a look at this lucite chair.  looks vintage & rare & i would kill for it

more beautiful drapery rods.  man, do i need to invest in some nicer rods.

another gorgeous color story

more magic in the form of CURTAINS

seriously?

pretty awesome eclectic gallery wall

and she had to throw this moment in there, too

mad respect!

VERY vintage vogue

scott just sent me a link for an article featuring these absolutely gorgeous old Vogue covers.  little did he know the owner of these treasures is Diana Moss, a graphic designer living in Cape Town, South Africa (man do i want go there one day) and author of the blog, Miss Moss, that i am a GIANT fan of!  Moss inherited these in the most perfect way possible.  have a read...

"i was given a wonderful gift recently from Anton’s gran, who was cleaning out her book collection and came upon an old copy of The Art of Vogue Covers. it details the illustrated covers of British Vogue from 1909 through to 1940, including the entire collection of covers between 1920-1930. "

can you even IMAGINE?!   i love that i have never seen these before.  here are a few of my favorites...

stunning!

good (summer) stack

i move books around like crazy and on my desk at the moment is a stack of 3 greats- the bottom one here i love reading this time of year: One Special Summer by Jacqueline and Lee Bouvier.  illustrated by 18 year old Jackie and written by her sister Lee, the playful book highlights their first trip to Europe in 1951.   "As they traveled, they sketched and kept notes, creating an illustrated journal of their time abroad, which they presented to their parents as a thank you upon their return."  not only is the book pefectly described as "joyous, witty and charmingly nostalgic" (you know i love those words) it is HANDWRITTEN.

here is just a small sampling inside the book.  and now i won't talk anymore.  you can just look at the pictures and if you please, do a little reading ;)

one special HOLIDAY and two special sisters, indeed!

my stack also includes two others that are right up there in the inspiring, charming, witty and whimsical department:  The Encyclopedia Of The Exquisite by Jessica Kerwin Jenkins and The Priciples of Uncertainty by Maira Kalman.
