leather and lace

is usually a pleasing combo to me.  we have some killer pieces at the shop right now and when mixed well the look is so pretty.

first, this "Pretty Little Vintage" black leather dress that my sister brought back to life is gorgeous.  it reminds me of the one Jennifer Aniston recently wore.  paired with a swing coat with lace detail by Darling, a vintage charm necklace, faux fur ear muffs (think walking home from dinner on a chilly november night) and charming patent Pretty Ballerina flats- the look is both sophisticated and sweet.  

the next look i am DYING over.  i will be running around new york in it while buying for spring 2012 après the mayhem of fashion week.  (it's so much more civilized to do your buying via private showroom appointments when the crowds and media are gone).  the leather shorts by Twenty8Twelve arrived yesterday (soooooo good) and this perfect little lace top by Darling (which customers were buying straight from the half opened box- i've already re-ordered) is my new favorite go-to.  i will finish the look with red velvet Pretty Ballerinas.  so chic!

How To Be A Man

dying to get a copy of this for myself - and gift it to a few fellas (not that they need it, of course).  Tom Ford (bow down) calls it "a brilliant guide for the modern gentleman.  Funny, informative, and written with great style".  I bet the inside is as snazzy as the cover.
