september!

september means i have to do a closet overhaul.  one thing i am very excited about is retiring my epic collection of jack rogers for loeffler randall boots and shoes.  again, i sooooooooooo wish she were doing an apparal collection this season!!!  i miss it terribly.  in the meantime, my feet will be happy.  some favorites in my closet...

hands down the PERFECT shaped boot.  i have in several colors.  they are a pretty penny, but so worth it.

i LOVE these.  hardly ever wear them, but when i do, i can't stop looking down.

with Park Hill candles.  i just requested a wholesale catalogue because these charming and AMAZINGLY good smelling gems need to be at Holiday.  i've been burning one called "front porch" every night and sadly it's almost gone.  i am super picky when it comes to candles- and these are divine and the packaging is so perfect for fall.

i also fell in love with the company's literature and appreciation of all things nostalgic

My Dream Gig...

...would be to work in the art/costume dept. on the set of the newest Gatsby.  i rarely get excited about new films- but i will be first in line to see Baz Luhrmann's adaptation.  every couple of years, i read the book and remember its fresh and tragic guts.  i've loved f. scott 4-like-eva and am tickled that we share the same birthday.  oscar winning costume designer, Catherine Martin,  (she won for Moulin Rouge) will take the art direction helm of this celebrated (and i anticipate) seriously style packed flick.
