Isabella Blow

i have been invited to June Monteiro's fashion show this weekend, Saturday September 24th at the Billy Bordy theater on Tremont.  unfortunately i cannot attend (out of town for my b-day).  i would have liked to have gone, as her collection is inspired by the late Isabella Blow.  i've always been intrigued by Isabella and her life of inspiration and tragedy.  her English eccentricity continues to fascinate.

while perusing Country Living magazine (yes- it's one of the many design mags i subscribe to- i live in Concord, afterall!)  i came across these adorable ever customizeable necklaces by hadendesigns.com on etsy.  such a cute gift idea for a city or country gal!

morning inspiration

i usually have a routine in the morning.  the first matter of business is to walk the dog while the coffee is brewing.  the second requirement before i head back upstairs to shower, dress, etc. is to spend about 15 minutes on the computer- catching up on emails, reading a bit of news (iran frees US hikers finally) and hopefully stumbling across a nugget of style-inspiration.  it can be anything- like an image of a pile of velvet ribbon (seriously, i have so many odd ball things saved in my jess file)- or a beautiful piece of furniture or a pretty up-do.  my morning doesn't feel complete until i've satisfied it with a moment of VISUAL inspiration.  today, i chose this coat/capelet.  everything about it is perfect.

ange looking cute

here is ange in nyc looking colorful and cute en route to our appointments.  i love that strand of white blonde hair blowing in the wind.  she is rocking my Leifsdottir suede jkt.

and me- (feeling rather non-photogenic).  BUT i am cozy and comfortable in Holiday's luxe cable cashmere poncho.  and notice my darker locks?
